Communities and digital spaces

Gaming & Digital Worlds

Building places people choose to spend time in, and treating the communities inside them as the product rather than the audience.

Building

Overview

Why this stream exists

Game communities are one of the clearest examples of the Autonova idea. They form around a shared interest, they are run largely by the people in them, and they fail the moment the people running them stop listening.

We build and support digital spaces where the community has a real say in how the place works, and where the way the space earns money is visible to the people paying for it.

What we are working on

  • Game-server communities run with their members, not at them
  • Digital spaces where moderation and governance are part of the design
  • Monetisation that members can see, understand, and opt into

Inside this stream

Named ventures

Each venture keeps its own name and its own relationship with the people who use it.

  • Game-server communities

    In development

Community-run servers and the tooling around them: membership, moderation, and a fair way to cover the cost of keeping a good space open.

Other streams

The rest of the hub

  • Real Estate

Making renting and living clearer for the people doing it, starting with the parts that cause the most friction.

  • Autonova Labs

Where an idea gets tested honestly before it becomes a venture, and where we are willing to conclude that it should not.

  • Future Ventures

Deliberately unfilled. This is where the next stream comes from, and it usually starts with someone describing a problem clearly.
